Online Basketball Scoreboard
A basketball scoreboard needs three point values: 1 for a free throw, 2 for a field goal inside the arc and 3 for a shot from beyond the three-point line. ScoreBoard's free online basketball scoreboard gives each team 1, 2 and 3-point buttons, a game timer and fullscreen mode, right in your browser.

How to keep score for basketball online
- Open the basketball scoreboard. The Basketball preset is already selected.
- Name the teams or players (2 to 12) and pick their colors, then tap Create Game.
- Tap a teamβs card or its point buttons to add points. On a keyboard, press 1, 2 or 3 to score for that team and Shift + the number to undo.

- Pickup games to 11 or 21 by 1s and 2s work too: just use the +1 and +2 buttons.
Basketball scoreboard FAQ
How is basketball scored?
A made free throw is worth 1 point, a field goal inside the three-point arc is worth 2, and a field goal from beyond the arc is worth 3. The team with the most points at the end of regulation wins; a tie goes to 5-minute overtime periods.
How long is a basketball game?
NBA games have four 12-minute quarters (48 minutes). FIBA, WNBA and NCAA women's games have four 10-minute quarters, and NCAA men's games have two 20-minute halves. High school games in the US usually have four 8-minute quarters.
Can I keep score for a pickup game?
Yes. Many pickup games are played to 11 or 21, counting baskets as 1 and 2 (or 2 and 3). Use the +1 and +2 buttons and stop when a team reaches your target.
Does the online basketball scoreboard have a clock?
ScoreBoard has a game timer that counts up or down, which you can show from the game's top bar. It does not run a shot clock.
