1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ScoreBoard (the “App”), available at thescorekeeper.app and on the Apple App Store, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ScoreBoard is a free score keeping application that allows you to track scores for sports and games. The App is available as a native iOS application and as a web application. Features include score tracking, game timer, live sharing, and team management.

3. User Content

You are responsible for any content you create within the App, including game names, team names, and scores. You retain ownership of your content. By using the Live Sharing feature, you acknowledge that shared game data is temporarily stored on our servers and accessible to anyone with the share code.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App’s systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers or networks
  • Use automated scripts to access the App
  • Use the Live Sharing feature to distribute inappropriate content

5. Availability

We strive to keep ScoreBoard available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Data and Storage

Web app: Your game data is stored locally in your browser. We are not responsible for data loss due to browser data clearing or device changes.

iOS app: Your game data is stored on your device and optionally synced via iCloud. We are not responsible for data loss due to iCloud issues or device changes.

Live Sharing: Shared game data is stored temporarily in Firebase. We may delete inactive shared game data after 30 days.

7. Intellectual Property

ScoreBoard, its design, code, and content are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that scores will be accurate in all circumstances.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
